Community Manager Overview:

We are seeking a full-time, exempt Community Manager to lead a community of residents and staff at *two* of our student-centered apartment communities.  This crucial role assures a supportive environment for our residents/students while overseeing efficient and fiscally responsible operations of the community. 


This locations for this role are: 

Connery Place is located in the vibrant Jade District, near SE 82nd & Mill.  Close to Mt. Tabor, Montavilla, and on a variety of transit lines, this community is perfectly suited for students attending nearby schools, including Portland Community College SE Campus, just one block away.  Click here for photos.  


The 601, less than 15 minutes east of Connery Place, is a great location for students with its proximity to both Portland Community College, Mt. Hood Community College, and others.  With three shopping centers and five parks in a 3-mile radius, the 601 is near to lots of amenities and has a high bikeable score.  Click here for photos.  


This role is overseeing both communities, with a split schedule onsite at each.  Parking is available.  

     

Community Manager Duties:

  • Providing leadership, direction, and support to the teams at the community
  • Responsible for positive student engagement and services throughout the life cycle of tenancy
  • Manages and directs day-to-day leasing operations and related accounting
  • Proactively develops and implements new practices and trainings to support a culture of growth

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes, skills, and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or commensurate experience 
  • 3-5 years of property management, student housing, or related experience
  • 3 or more years of supervisory experience
  • Working knowledge of Fair Housing, Equal Housing Opportunity, and Oregon Landlord-Tenant law
  • Great time management
  • Collaborative nature
  • Strong communication skills
