About the Content Marketing Strategist

The Content Marketing Strategist is responsible for conceptualizing, planning, and executing marketing for the Data Genomix organization and leading ongoing Client marketing & advertising strategy. The position is focused on vision casting and enhancing the unique brands of our clients, as well as the Data Genomix brand, ushering content and collateral from ideation to execution. The Content Marketing Strategist should be an expert at social media marketing, digital advertising, content generation, website content writing & SEO, and can speak to diverse verticals through a strategic marketing lens. The successful candidate should have both strong writing & creative skills, supplemented by exemplary marketing ability. This individual will be influential in working with business development and client success teams.


Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver content marketing strategies for Data Genomix clients: organic social media, email, blogs, etc.
  • Generate messaging (copywriting) for email content, blogs, thought leadership, digital ad flights, and organic social media content
  • Support the planning and iteration of owned, earned, and paid digital media campaigns
  • Supports and participates in business development efforts with existing clients and provides support as needed in business development for new clients
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge of the DG offerings and anticipate threats & opportunities       
  • Cooperative problem-solving, competitive analysis, and accounting/budgeting


Qualifications

  • Hands-on, detailed & strategic, transparent communicator with well-developed emotional intelligence, energetic & can-do attitude
  • Bachelor’s degree. Preferably in marketing, design, or a related field
  • 2-3+ years of digital advertising experience at an agency or similar organization, competent in the marketing industry lexicon 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Ability to embrace flexible responsibilities as team or client needs arise
  • Creative thinker who can extrapolate loose concepts into a compelling story/value proposition
  • Superb communication & negotiation skills, able to create stories around KPIs
  • Expert in digital & social media marketing (Meta Blueprint & Google Ads certifications are a benefit)
  • Detail-oriented with strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills & ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Self-starter, ability to work without direct supervision
