The Vice President of Podcasting provides leadership, development and product management for the hosting and distribution of Access More’s podcast content. Provides oversight and leadership for all aspects of Podcasting. Developing a Business Model that is both sustainable and growing. Finding new development opportunities and focusing on consistent talent acquisition.


Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively influence our culture, leading by example in demonstrating collaboration, empowerment, innovation, creativity and service, while being a faithful witness on and off the job of K-LOVE’s mission to create compelling media that inspires and encourages our listeners to have a meaningful relationship with Christ.
  • As a member of leadership, contribute to long term planning and vision implementation through identification of Access More’s strategic initiatives, collaboration, prioritization, communication, and evaluation of results, while preserving K-LOVE’s reputation for integrity and excellence.
  • Engage and inform Chief Media Officer regarding industry trends, issues, concepts, and proposals for the delivery of strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments such as Radio, Donor Engagement, Underwriting, Marketing, and other K-LOVE departments.
  • Provide leadership for the Access More Podcast team ensuring ministry wide collaboration and communication, facilitating appropriate resolution of issues, and competing priorities. Ensure alignment of Podcasting Initiatives with Ministry objectives.
  • Develop and direct strategy for Access More’s podcast programming decisions, content acquisition, and creation.
  • Lead curation and acquisition of content for podcasts.
  • Build and execute strategies for non-music content.
  • Use analytics, research insights, and industry expertise to prioritize content acquisition and inform content strategies. Utilize research and qualitative information to set goals and evaluate performance.
  • Partner with the audio team, producers, and voice talent to produce a high-quality, engaging podcast.
  • Represent K-LOVE within the podcast industry by participating in speaking engagements and conferences.
  • Partner with all business units and outside partners to achieve product and feature success, and work with marketing on product strategy, awareness, and adoption.
  • Establish standard operating procedures, policies, and standards of practice to ensure consistency, legal compliance, efficiency, and quality across the distribution channels.
  • Collaborate with the legal team and/or outside counsel on content licensing and deal terms to drive negotiation efforts end-to-end across in a variety of settings (e.g., IP licensing, show acquisitions, talent agreements, platform deals).
  • Ensure that Access More’s third-party shows meet established content standards and protocols for publication.
  • Develop and create strategies for monetization and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Analyze financial information (e.g. revenues, expenditure and cash management) to ensure all operations are within budget.
  • Initiate and direct digital strategy for streaming audio channels partnering with the digital team.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or combination of education/training with relevant experience.
  • Leadership experience in the Christian media industry preferred.
  • Major market programming track record of success preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to connect and impact target audiences.
  • Strategic planning experience. Experience setting and meeting/exceeding goals and objectives (including revenue goals).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build trust and value others; communicate effectively; focus on the listener; and collaborate with others.
  • Technical knowledge and proficiency with radio production equipment.
  • Project management experience; proven ability to plan, organize, lead and direct projects.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • A collaborative and flexible style, with a strong service mentality. Need to be seen as a team player.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop sincere business/ministry relationships.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the social sector with a passion for our mission and values.
