We are seeking a highly motivated individual as our next Regional Operations Coordinator (ROC) for the North West Metropolitan Region. Based in Melton, this dynamic and engaging role acts as a key linkage for all partner agencies involved in emergency planning, response and management. Supporting the Regional Commander, the role will have a high level of administrative and operational planning responsibilities.

Core aspects of the role include:

Establishing and maintaining exceptional working relationships with partner agencies including Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DWELP), Parks Victoria, State Emergency Service, Victoria Police, Fire Rescue Victoria and local councils. Training staff from CFA and partner agencies in emergency management arrangements and functions. Support to and case management of CFA members progressing through the senior incident management capability program. Coordination of committees and working groups including scheduling meetings, preparation of agendas, minutes and other documentation. Collaborating across CFA and partner agencies to develop procedural documentation including policies, plans, terms of reference and templates. Undertaking research, data collection and analysis and presenting information to enable informed operational decisions and actions. Coordination of audit actions relating to operational facilities and infrastructure. Providing CFA representation on working groups and coordination of regional and interagency briefings, exercises and debriefs. This role has a remunerated requirement to participate in the Regional Control Team Roster which may require weekend work and out of hours work during peak periods and major operations (consistent with industrial agreements). State-wide travel is required. Access to a CFA pool car will be provided.

You will be a vital cog to keep the wheels of regional operations turning. The ‘go to' person who enjoys a challenge, loves problem solving and draws on strong resilience when things don't go as planned.

We will provide extensive training on fire and emergency services and strongly encourage applications from anyone with a passion to support operations management. You may have a background in administration coordination, executive assistance, project/event management or customer service.
