About the Role:

Victoria Legal Aid is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the efficient functioning of five regional offices in the North catchment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing administrative functions, improving service delivery, and driving strategic initiatives across these locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate regional operations, aligning them with VLA's strategic goals and objectives.
  • Manage key projects, including built environment projects, to ensure smooth operations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve service delivery, access to justice, and client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including staff, clients, and community partners, to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members, promoting a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

About You:

We are looking for a seasoned operations professional with a strong background in coordinating complex initiatives, analyzing data, and driving business outcomes. You will possess:

  • A deep understanding of social justice issues and a demonstrated commitment to supporting Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities within the justice system.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively and build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing administrative and support services, particularly within a legal practice or related field.
  • A strong analytical mindset, with the ability to analyze complex datasets and derive actionable insights to solve problems and improve service delivery.
