Our client is dedicated to advancing the clean energy transition through innovative solar and solar & storage projects. They are seeking an experienced Development Manager - Solar to lead the development of a growing portfolio of greenfield prospects. This role involves overseeing project development from concept to execution, negotiating site agreements, coordinating diverse resources, and contributing to strategic development and public affairs initiatives.

Job Description

The Development Manager - Solar will be responsible for

Managing project development from inception to notice to proceedEstablishing and maintaining relationships with landowners, negotiating agreements for site control, including leases, purchases, or rights of wayCoordinating internal and external resources across environmental, regulatory, legal, transmission, technical, commercial, and construction areas to advance projects through development stagesActing as portfolio steward, providing expertise in project decision meetings with managementAssisting in crafting development and public affairs strategies for the target market

The Successful Applicant

The successful Development Manager - Solar in this role will

At least three (3) years of development experience in solar and BESS, emphasizing development.Understanding of real estate, regulatory requirements, permitting, and interconnection processes.Effective project management and organizational abilities, capable of handling multiple projects concurrently.Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Track record of working autonomously and collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.Proficiency in relevant software and tools such as MS Office and project management software.Work in a hybrid capacity in Portland
