Position Overview

The Senior Manager of Strategy and Transformation will play a pivotal role within the Strategy and Transformation Management Office (STMO), facilitating the organization in shaping and executing Komatsu North America's strategic initiatives. This position will act as a central coordinator among senior leadership to ensure that the organization's efforts are strategically aligned with Komatsu's overarching vision, support accountability towards established objectives, and develop comprehensive plans to achieve critical priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Alignment with Organizational Strategy: Assist senior leadership in formulating and executing long-term strategic plans that resonate with Komatsu Limited and Komatsu North America's goals and outcomes. This includes driving key strategic planning activities such as developing strategic frameworks, setting key goals and objectives, creating long-term roadmaps, and facilitating workshops to generate actionable plans and future aspirations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executives and senior leadership, to promote open communication and collaboration, ensuring buy-in and support for transformation initiatives.
  • Program Portfolio Management: Aid senior leadership in crafting annual budgets, prioritizing initiatives, and facilitating discussions around trade-offs when preparing budget requests.
  • Change Management: Lead effective change management and communication strategies to ensure the successful adoption of programs, partnering with leaders to assess change impacts and stakeholder needs.
  • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback, learning, and adaptation based on insights from transformation efforts, while identifying best practices to enhance future initiatives.

Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business-related field preferred, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrated strategic planning and execution capabilities in corporate or consulting environments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to unite cross-functional leaders to facilitate discussions and resolve issues.
  • Self-motivated individual who identifies opportunities and can develop and execute actionable plans.
  • Ability to maintain a broad perspective while managing detailed tasks and effectively communicating with diverse audiences.
  • Experience in supporting digital transformation initiatives and aligning digital strategies with organizational outcomes.
  • Solid foundation in financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting processes.
  • Proficient in developing executive presentations and analyzing data insights (Excel, PowerPoint required).
