Retail insurance brokers across the U.S. rely on market making brokers-what the industry calls the wholesale market-to place much of this specialty insurance. Anzen is quickly becoming one of the preferred wholesale solutions for connecting retail brokers to underwriters using the latest technology. Anzen has built the only comprehensive data set to train AI to streamline market making for corporate risks of all sizes and types.

Anzen is a team of technology and insurance professionals with years of experience building enterprise software, insurtech, underwriting, and insurance distribution businesses. • Partner strategically with wholesale brokers to ensure our book's retention/renewal rate is 85% or more.
  • Aim for at least a 95% NPS score by being the first responsive and primary contact for our retail broker partners and their clients to provide excellent services on their policies placed through Anzen.
  • Be an integral partner with our carrier partners so that collectively, we can analyze and negotiate for the most comprehensive and competitive insurance options.
  • Be curious about different industry trends and evolving markets to act as an expert for our retail broker partners and their clients.
  • Be responsible for owning post-binding activities and policy delivery once a sale is closed.
  • Handle account maintenance work such as endorsement, cancellation, etc. throughout the policy's lifecycle.
  • Train, delegate, and provide feedback on repetitive tasks to BPO support such as loss runs, etc. where needed.
  • Be a beta user and provide proactive feedback on new product features, including Anzen's use of AI and workflow automation.

Qualifications:

  • Operate with an excellent customer-centric mindset for retail broker partners and their clients.
  • Keen eyes on every detail to ensure Anzen operates with holistic excellence.
  • Bias for action, focus on the highest impact, and approach everything with a result/solution-oriented mindset.
  • Act with extreme ownership and the highest integrity in everything we do, big or small.
  • Adaptability to changes and excellent time management when pivoting in a fast-paced environment/startup landscape.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, including written and public speaking via phone/Zoom professionally.
  • Capable of learning and adapting quickly using new and proprietary technology.
  • Ability to work well and build trust with stakeholders to achieve Anzen's common goals and outcomes.
  • Minimum of 5 years of insurance brokerage experience.
  • Property and Casualty insurance license required.
  • Commercial insurance experience in Executive Risk and Professional Liability is preferred.
