The Nursing Supervisor LTC:

Join our team as a Nursing Supervisor LTC and play a vital role in ensuring excellent patient care in our long-term care facility. As a **Nursing Supervisor LTC**, you will provide unit leadership and act as a clinical resource for our dedicated nursing staff. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing leadership and management on the unit
  • Conducting staff meetings and performance counseling
  • Supervising clinical staff and conducting performance evaluations
  • Monitoring residents' daily activities and medical care
  • Acting as a clinical resource and promoting resident-centered care
  • Maintaining adequate staffing levels within the facility
  • Identifying and resolving safety and environment issues
  • Completing QAPI audits and implementing improvement plans
  • Ensuring compliance with LTC regulations
  • Monitoring and maintaining medical supply levels
  • Supporting survey readiness by auditing staff work
  • Leading and facilitating meetings effectively

Patient Population:

Our **Nursing Supervisor LTC** must demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide equitable care to patients of all ages. This includes adults and geriatric patients.

Employment Qualifications:

Required Education:

Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing

Registered Nurse licensure in Virginia or eligible compact state

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience with at least 2 years as an RN

2 years of clinical supervisor or leadership experience

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Effective communication skills and cultural responsiveness

Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion

Working Conditions:

Our **Nursing Supervisor LTC** may experience periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads. The role may involve exposure to physical altercations, verbal abuse, and hazardous substances. Universal precautions and infection control policies apply.

Physical Requirements:

Various physical demands including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling. Work positions may include sitting, walking, and standing.

Additional Physical Requirements/ Hazards:

Manual dexterity, weight maneuvering, and exposure to hazardous substances and moving parts.

Strong mental, sensory, and emotional capabilities required to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and customer interactions.
