Position Overview:

Responsible for reporting and processing day-to-day US Jewelry Manufacturing cost accounting activity. Review of period expenses and prepare various journal entries. Manage inventory cycle count process. Assist with preparing, analyzing, and reconciling inventory activities. Report on production output to facility partners.
  • Provide oversight to the work order process and link with planning team to ensure timely closure of work orders in view of periodic accounting and period closure.
  • Systematically post work order variance to the ledger and clear open WIP balances.
  • Provide selection for the daily cycle counts per facility, ensuring all items are covered on timing basis and in compliance with cycle count risk matrix. Update frequencies on a quarterly basis.
  • Process costing / Engineering Change Notice request of products.
  • Support Sr Accountant with periodic closing and account reconciliations.
  • Analyze, track, and process inventory adjustment requests.
  • Assist senior accountant in researching daily B/S account movements.
  • Prepare standard month end journal entries.
  • Review inventory balances weekly and provide feedback to the facilities on aged WIP and risk areas.
  • Review transfer margin details and propose corrections.
  • Perform subledger reconciliations and process adjustment entries.
  • Assist in periodic physical inventories.
  • Assist in standardizing and evolving operations processes across facilities.
  • Assist in researching P&L expenses as needed.
  • Assist in compiling month end reports as needed.
  • Support special projects and analysis as required by Manager, US Jewelry Manufacturing Finance
  • Provide support to periodic Internal Audit testing and review cycle as well as local site compliance matters.
  • Actively seek and propose solutions aiming to improve processes.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
    • 3+ years Cost Accounting or related financial experience
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: both verbally and written
    • Must be willing to work flexible hours during monthly and year-end closings, as well as for special assignments when business needs require
