Job Overview

We are looking for a Junior Audit Associate to join our dynamic and expanding public accounting firm, specializing in audits for non-profit organizations and municipal entities.

The successful candidate will be accountable for all facets of the audit process, which includes:

  • Audit planning and risk evaluation
  • Execution of audit procedures
  • Assessment of evidence
  • Assisting clients with their financial statement preparation and necessary disclosures

The ideal candidate should possess a solid understanding of financial reporting standards and have experience in direct client interactions. Proficiency in Excel, QuickBooks, and ProSystem fx Trial Balance and Engagement software is essential. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required, along with the ability to manage multiple complex projects concurrently. Familiarity with governmental accounting and auditing practices is advantageous.

A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field is mandatory. A CPA license is highly preferred for advanced positions. A minimum of two years of experience in public accounting, specifically in financial statement preparation and audits, is necessary.
