Sevee & Maher Engineers, Inc. (SME) is seeking a full-time Civil/Environmental Engineer (Entry Level) to join our team.

Position Overview

The Civil/Environmental Engineer will work under the guidance of a project manager, engaging in a variety of projects that range from residential developments to large-scale industrial facilities. Many of these initiatives require innovative solutions tailored for environmentally sensitive locations.

Your Contribution

At SME, the Civil/Environmental Engineer will have the unique opportunity to participate in diverse assignments, including:

  • Design and engineering tasks
  • Preparation of technical documentation and detailed design specifications
  • Management of permitting processes and public outreach efforts
  • Oversight of construction activities

Additionally, you will be expected to:

  • Exhibit strong organizational skills to ensure project timelines are met
  • Collaborate effectively as a team member and develop practical, cost-efficient solutions for our clients.

Given the collaborative nature of our work, strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) are essential. At SME, we value the establishment and maintenance of positive relationships with all stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Geotechnical Engineering
  • Internship experience or coursework in related engineering fields is advantageous
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and stormwater modeling software is beneficial
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities are crucial.
