Position Overview:
Responsible for driving New Business Development initiatives, focusing on high-value clients and intricate financial transactions. Evaluates credit applications and determines the creditworthiness of applicants. Manages a diverse loan portfolio by collecting essential financial information and nurturing client relationships. Ensures compliance with bank policies and Federal/State regulations pertaining to Commercial Lending. Provides mentorship and support to junior loan officers through training and guidance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 7-10 years of experience in Commercial Lending
Essential Skills:
  • Robust background in accounting and credit analysis
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding business objectives
  • Strong leadership and management capabilities
  • Proficient in various software applications and banking accounting systems
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Solid understanding of economics, business/commercial finance, and accounting principles
  • Knowledge of legal aspects of lending practices
Key Responsibilities:

  • 40% Cultivates a profitable portfolio through New Business Development activities, focusing on large clients with complex borrowing, deposit, and Trust requirements. Adheres to Bank policies and all relevant Federal/State regulations regarding commercial lending.
  • 25% Manages and services a loan portfolio, ensuring timely collection of financial data and maintaining client contact, while accurately documenting borrower status through comprehensive file management.
  • 20% Assesses loan applications by evaluating borrower capacity, financial data, industry trends, collateral position, and management capabilities, using sound judgment to determine creditworthiness.
  • 10% Provides training, advice, and mentorship to less experienced loan officers.
  • 5% Performs additional duties as assigned.
Physical Demands:
  • Effective communication with internal and external clients
  • Stationary for 75% of the time or more
  • Ability to lift objects up to 10 lbs
