Bazaarvoice is looking for a curious, motivated, and consultative Account Executive who will be responsible for new business opportunities focusing on our Retail and D-to-C Enterprise accounts (>$500M eComm Revenue). You will be responsible for selling in a specific product line to existing and acquisition accounts.

You will be responsible for identifying opportunities, running the full sales cycle, growing revenue, and nurturing executive-level relationships for strategic Enterprise accounts.

Primary Duties of the Role:

  • Own your territory by actively understanding whitespace and creating demand for a strong pipeline.
  • Consistently achieve demand and revenue targets by selling in solutions to top qualified prospects.
  • Being confident in defending and selling a high-ROI solution.
  • Demonstrating the value propositions of our products and services.
  • Drive strong discovery conversations with the customer in order to reveal pains and requirements.
  • Convincing client's IT personnel and being able to "talk shop" with them.
  • Partnering with the client's marketing and eCommerce teams and working through their organization to find the key decision makers.
  • Working through the legal aspects of the contract with the client's lawyer while leveraging our internal counsel to close the deal.
  • Demonstrate passion and energy both externally with the customer and internally with cross functional teams.
  • Consistently build and manage an effective pipeline and communicate proactively with leadership throughout each phase of the sales process.

Skills and Experience Necessary for the Role:

  • 5+ years relative experience in software sales.
  • Ability to identify target accounts, appropriate contacts within that account, and formulate strategies to generate sales interest.
  • Ability to generate, qualify, and execute opportunities in order to exceed revenue targets.
  • Proven ability to articulate a vision that resonates with the customer and demonstrates value.
  • Experience using two way discovery to uncover customer needs and matches solutions to those needs.
  • Effectively create and articulate ROI in the negotiation process.
  • Experience in developing relationships with strategic stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated performance in a similar role achieving metrics.
