The Food and Beverage Director will oversee the Food & Beverage operations and will work closely with the Manager of Operations to achieve high scores of food, beverage and excellent service quality. Responsible for budget and cost control measures. Organizes the activities of the Food and Beverage Department to maintain high standards of food and beverage quality, service and merchandising to maximize hotel profitability.

Supervisory Responsibilities:Knowledge of NYC Hotels IWA for – Local 6 and Local 94
Responsible for leading our Food & Beverage staff and motivating our staff to provide excellent customer service.
Plan and direct the functions of administration and planning of the Food and Beverage Department to meet the daily needs of the operation.
Clearly describe, assign and delegate responsibility and authority for the operation of the various food and beverage sub-departments, e.g. room service, restaurants, banquets, kitchens, steward, etc.
Develop, implement and monitor schedules for the operation of all food and beverage sub-departments to achieve a profitable result.
Train and instruct food and beverage employees on standard operating procedures, service standards, ensure compliance, etc.
Coordinate with other departments including , sales, operations, housekeeping, and any other division in order to solve problems and meet guest expectations
Implement effective control of food, beverage and labor costs among all sub-departments to Crescent standards.
Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
Continuously evaluate the performance and encourage improvement of the associates in the food and beverage department. Plan and administer a training and development program within the department which will provide well trained associates at all levels.
Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff.
Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
Customer Satisfaction: Our customers are what we are about. One of the keys to a positive guest experience is positive interaction with Crescent staff. It is essential that you always remain professional and treat all guests and associates with courtesy and respect, under all circumstances. Every Crescent associate is a guest relations ambassador, every working minute of every day.

Work Habits: To maintain a positive guest and associate experience, your work habits should always meet and strive to exceed hotel standards for work procedures, dress, grooming, punctuality, and attendance. You should be adaptable to change in your work area and in hotel procedures with a willingness to learn new skills and/or improve existing ones, can solve routine problems that occur on the job and ask for help whenever you are not sure how to do something.

Safety & Security:

The safety and security of our guests and associates is of utmost importance to Crescent. Every Crescent associate should adhere to the hotel security policies and procedures, particularly regarding key controls, lifting heavy objects, using chemicals, and effectively reporting safety hazards and safety concerns.

For applicants who will be working in NYC, the anticipated compensation range for the position is $85,000 to $100,000 USD per year. The salary offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience on the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, work location, etc. Crescent Hotels is a multi-state employer and the salary ranges indicated herein may not reflect positions that work only in other states.Qualifications
