About the Role:

The Assistant Operations Manager will oversee the food and beverage areas within the hotel. Responsibilities may include scheduling, forecasting and training, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local laws as well as all operating procedures. This person may also coordinate special events at the hotel. The Assistant Food and Beverage Manager must have strong communication and analytical skills. Food and Beverage cost control experience is helpful.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the food and beverage department, ensuring seamless execution of events and services.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve food and beverage sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage and train a team of food and beverage staff, providing coaching and development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless service delivery and high-quality guest experiences.
  • Monitor and control food and beverage costs, ensuring compliance with budgetary guidelines.
  • Coordinate special events, including weddings, conferences, and banquets, ensuring exceptional service and attention to detail.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in food and beverage management, preferably in an upscale hotel environment.
  • Strong knowledge of wine and beverages, with experience in an upscale setting.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
