Job Title: Labor Relations Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Labor Relations Specialist to join our team at the Colorado Convention Center/SMG. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing ASM Global Theatrical/Production personnel and labor services activity specific to Stagehand labor for Denver Arts & Venues, including Red Rocks, the Denver Coliseum, and the Denver Performing Arts Complex (DPAC).

Key Responsibilities:

* Advise management on labor relations concerns and responsibilities
* Act as the primary point of contact for stagehand union
* Clear understanding of the CBA
* Work to build and maintain a positive working relationship with the Union that represents our employees while protecting management rights
* Propose resolutions for collective bargaining or other labor or contract negotiations
* Interpret contractual agreements for employers and employees engaged in collective bargaining and other labor relations processes
* Mediate discussions between employer and employee representatives in an attempt to reconcile differences
* Call or meet with Union, Company, Government, or other interested parties to discuss labor relations matters such as contract negotiations or grievances
* Schedule or coordinate the details of grievance hearings or other meetings
* Train managers/supervisors/coordinators on topics related to labor relations, such as working conditions, safety, or equal opportunity practices

Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree in a related field, such as labor and industrial relations, human resources, or business required
* Experience working with Unions
* Familiarity with IATSE Union labor environment/contract negotiation experience
* Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
* Clearly demonstrated problem-solving ability
* Demonstrate excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills among all levels of staff and clientele
* Ability to speak, understand, and read standard English
