HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.

What your day-to-day will be like:

  • Work within the IT CAPEX budget of each property as approved by the ownership and Regional IT and finance leadership.
  • Track past, current, and future CAPEX projects; and assist the ownership on decision-making process for upcoming projects.
  • Manage the support calls initiated by Hilton Technology Support Center (HTSC) or vendors for systems and applications not supported by HTSC, serving as onsite contact.
  • Ensure Hilton technical standards are implemented in managed properties.
  • Evaluate property needs and utilize technology solutions to improve profit, operations efficiency, and guest experience.
  • Prepare status reports of all technical and operational activities; draft executive summary of outages.
  • Participate in corporate, property departmental, and operations meetings.
  • Advise on, maintain property infrastructure, including servers, backups, property LAN and WAN, telecom systems.
  • Deploy technology tools and provide educational documentation to end-users.

How you will collaborate with others:

  • Partner with hotel's finance team to review monthly recurring invoices for technology systems, ensuring OPEX and forecast accuracy.
  • Work with HTSC and vendors to ensure the resolution of IT challenges and outages.
  • Assist HR with onboarding Team Members and providing system access.
  • Mentor and train junior peers on Hilton standards, systems, and initiatives.
  • Partner with Regional Director Field Services in the region-wide initiatives.

What deliverables you will take ownership of:

  • Maintain detailed documentation of each hotel's current systems and up-to-date system health checks.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on critical systems and manage vulnerabilities on an ongoing basis by partnering with Hilton Global Information Security.

WHY YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT

You have these minimum qualifications:

  • Three (3) years of professional work experience in Technology or related field.
  • Two (2) years of experience working in a help desk or technical support environment.
  • Travel up to 30% within The Bay Area and occasional task force within the region.

It would be useful if you have:

  • Bachelor's Degree, or Associate's Degree plus 6+ years of Technology related experience, or High School Degree/GED plus 12+ years of Technology related experience
  • Five (5) + years of professional work experience in Technology or related field
  • Two (2) years of experience in IT Customer Service.
  • Four (4) + years of experience in Hospitality, Operations, and IT support roles
  • Experience administering networks in a Windows Server and workstation environment
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure, including cabling, wireless networks, network switches, WAN/LAN, domain controller, Active Directory, firewall and VPN
  • Experience with these Hospitality related applications and systems: Property Management Systems, Point Of Sales Systems, Keycard systems, ticketing systems, PBX and Voicemail
