D.C. United - Logistics Intern

D.C. United is currently accepting applications for a Logistics Internship Position. The ideal candidate will assist with college communication and transportation aspects for D.C. United Academy youth players under the guidance of the Academy Staff. This internship offers hands-on experience in a collaborative team-sport environment.

The position provides insight into the daily operations of elite sports and the experience of a youth athlete in a professional setting. The candidate will also gain knowledge in long-term athletic development and various performance training methods in soccer.

Applicants should have a background in sports management, business, or communication and a strong desire to learn. This is an unpaid internship opportunity.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or holds a bachelor's degree in sports management, business, communication, or related field
  • Interest in working in sports management, business, communication, or consulting
  • Willingness to work with youth athletes in a professional pathway environment
  • Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail skills
  • Ability to serve as the primary contact for the academy transportation program
  • Desire to mentor athletes and possess a growth mindset

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years' experience in sports management, business, communication, or related field
  • Experience in soccer or team sports environment
  • Knowledge of MLS academies and elite youth athletes
