- Breaking news expertise
- Understand how video moves throughout the internet
- Knowledge of LIVE video feeds
- Expertise at 'shareable' content
- CMS knowledge
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Must be able to work in a flexible "LIVE breaking news" environment
- AP Style
- Video editing (Premiere, Premiere Rush, Photoshop, After Effects, etc), and other creative software
- 3-5 years of newsroom experience
- 2-3 years of working with newsroom social media accounts
- Ability to adapt to an everchanging news and multi-platform landscape
- A self-starter capable of working independently and exercising sound judgment
- Knowledge of all current social trends and the ability to adapt
- A passion for teamwork and customer service
- Able to work across all levels of the group and work in tandem with corporate social media counterparts so our station initiatives are in line with Sinclair's expectations
- A leader who can teach others about social media and encourage non-social users to embrace engagement techniques that work
