RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Chair of Pediatrics and Pediatrician-in-Chief for the Children's Hospital of New Jersey at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center

We seek a visionary leader for the Children's Hospital of New Jersey (CHoNJ) at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center who will lead the growth of pediatric programs for the children of Newark and of the surrounding counties. The Chair/Pediatrician-in-Chief will work collaboratively with physician, nursing and administrative leadership to establish and achieve CHoNJ's strategic goals and who will inspire and develop others.

The selected leader will be responsible for the development of inpatient and ambulatory programs that result in the sustained growth of the CHoNJ and Department of Pediatrics and will supervise all activities with a focus on quality, safety, and patient engagement. The Chair is responsible for all teaching activities within the department, including undergraduate, graduate, and continuing educational programs.

The Chair/Pediatrician-in-Chief will be a key leader within the RWJBarnabas Health Children's Health Network, New Jersey's largest provider of pediatric healthcare.


Responsibilities:

Guide the conceptualization and execution of strategic goals, including strengthening existing clinical programs, identifying new program needs, integrating appropriate services, and managing and expanding the patient base.Provide leadership to the CHoNJ executive team, nursing directors, and administrative directors.Serve as chief clinical spokesperson for CHoNJ. Engage in regular communications with CHoNJ clinical and non-clinical departments. Represent CHoNJ externally and build community, regional and national relationships to further the CHoNJ programPartner with Chairs of various clinical departments, nursing, and administrative leaders to address cross-service clinical and service issues and build integrated programs.Direct and coordinate activities of CHoNJ's Medical Staff to ensure accreditation standards are met or exceeded and compliance with corporate policies and bylaws.Recruit, develop and retain faculty. Promote/support academic and research activities of faculty and trainees in collaboration with other site pediatric chairs and the two Rutgers medical schools associated with the RWJBH system.Requirements:MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.Board certification in Pediatrics and/or in a Pediatric subspecialty.Eligible for medical licensure in the state of New Jersey.Apply Online:
