Job Description

The Account Management Program Management & Strategy team (AM PM & Strategy) within Growth Data & Strategy (DAS) builds data-driven programs to enhance Account Manager efficiency and effectiveness, improving the experience for businesses using Square's ecosystem of products. Our initiatives are designed to drive business growth and customer retention by optimizing the tools and strategies that support our Account Managers. We are a team of Technical Program Managers and Strategic Program Managers who collaborate closely with Account Management stakeholders, Growth Tools, Product, Analytics, Data Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success to lead company-wide priority programs.

As a Strategic Program Manager on the AM PM & Strategy team, you will define and manage complex strategic programs that drive the organization forward. You will identify opportunities, align cross-functional stakeholders, assess trade-offs, pursue solutions, and ensure program execution to boost Square's growth. Ideal team members have strong strategic foundations, excel in stakeholder management, and are adept at developing and driving program execution. You will report to the Strategic Program Management Lead.

You will:

Deeply engage with our Account Management teams, understand their day-to-day operational challenges, and identify scalability issues & growth opportunities across the organization.
Make sense of ambiguous problems, develop business strategy, define requirements, curate stakeholders, and drive execution towards a concerted goal.
Work closely with business leaders and technical partners to translate business goals into technical requirements.
Manage the roadmap for your program(s) in collaboration with leadership and stakeholders.
Establish metrics to track the impact of your programs against broader goals.
Build relationships with teams within Account Management and our closest stakeholders in Customer Success, Data Engineering, Analytics, Marketing, and Product.
Develop and iterate end-to-end solutions, ensuring on-time delivery that meets defined business goals and requirements.

Qualifications:
Qualifications

You have:

3+ years of experience in program management, Sales / Account Management operations, or strategy & operations roles within a technology company
Proven ability to document and communicate cross-functional business requirements, program scope, and program updates (e.g., Business Requirement Docs, Program Charters / Plans, Decision Registers, and program newsletters)
Demonstrated experience collaborating with technical teams to build and deliver end-to-end programs, with a baseline understanding of the underlying platforms and technologies
Proficiency in segmenting and prioritizing large, multi-quarter projects into pilots and future iterations with clear roll-off plans
Experience with front office systems and project management tools such as Salesforce, Salesforce CPQ, Salesloft, Jira, Notion, and Docusign
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of influencing and driving alignment across cross-functional teams

Additional Information
Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Zone A: USD $92,300 - USD $138,500

Zone B: USD $85,800 - USD $128,800

Zone C: USD $78,500 - USD $117,700

Zone D: USD $69,300 - USD $103,900
