Continuous Improvement Lead - BWX Technologies, Inc. - Euclid, OH
The purpose of this position is to lead assignments requiring knowledge and application of basic problem-solving principles, while following specific procedures, standards and methods.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, execute, and implement continuous improvement projects to improve effectiveness and efficiency in multiple departments that deliver required results in areas of safety, quality, span, and cost.
- Utilize lean six sigma principles, such as 5S, Kaizan, Gemba, and DMAIC, to evaluate situations and execute projects.
- Participate in R&D projects by providing technical support to assure prototypical hardware meets guidelines.
- Assist and support all departments toward the realization of perfected Cl techniques and identifying improvement opportunities.
- Assist department leaders in team skills and knowledge development to support meeting management goals, project aims, improvements, results measurements, and problem solving.
- Utilize statistics and design of experiments (DOE) principles to develop test plans, analyze data, and report on results.
- Track, monitor, and report regularly on project status, monitor improvement milestones to ensure on time completion and sustainability of results.
- Able to lead a team or work individually to effectively coordinate and achieve all project goals within the given constraints.
- All other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of a High School diploma or GED equivalency.
- Minimum of four (4) years of related work experience preferrably within process, quality or product.
- Knowledge of product, process and quality related systems.
- Knowledge of NOG-E product realization cycle.
- Knowledge of SAP functions, routing creation, QNs, data collection, etc.
- Ability to utilize data and make it actionable.
- Strong verbal and technical writing skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance.

99,000
The base salary range for this position in Ohio (US-OH) at the start of employment is expected to be between $63,000 and $99,000 per year.
However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits.
Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment.
If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,' unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
