Position Overview:

The role involves actively driving continuous improvement initiatives through Kaizen workshops, fostering engagement across the workforce to establish and maintain efficient one-piece flowlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and facilitate Kaizen workshops to promote process enhancements.
  • Employ continuous improvement methodologies and tools to optimize manufacturing workflows.
  • Conduct research to identify and implement tailored solutions for quality and process enhancements.
  • Demonstrate capability in developing and modifying machinery or devices while adhering to safety standards.
  • Oversee and contribute to the Pursuit Tiered Review Process.
  • Interpret and read blueprints effectively.
  • Exhibit basic design and fabrication competencies.
  • Provide innovative and practical solutions to operational challenges.
  • Collaborate with various organizational levels, including Operators, Engineers, and Quality teams.
  • Engage in diverse roles throughout the organization as required.
  • Commit to learning and mentoring colleagues.
  • Travel to various Pursuit locations to lead Kaizen workshops.
  • Act as a backup for the Site KPO leader when necessary.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering.
  • A strong commitment to Kaizen principles with a focus on servant leadership.
  • Understanding of mechanical components and machine design.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience in manufacturing and/or operations is advantageous.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency and adaptability.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Prior knowledge and experience in continuous improvement (Kaizen) methodologies are preferred.
  • Familiarity with aerospace component manufacturing processes, including machining, welding, and coatings, is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work involves standing, sitting, and walking.
  • Effective communication skills, including speech, vision, and hearing, are necessary.
  • Physical activities may include bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
