The Continuous Improvement Advocate plays a pivotal role in driving operational enhancements within Pursuit Aerospace. This position is dedicated to leading workshops focused on continuous improvement methodologies, fostering a culture of efficiency and quality across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and facilitate Kaizen workshops to engage employees at all levels.
  • Utilize various continuous improvement tools to optimize manufacturing processes and workflows.
  • Conduct research to identify and implement tailored solutions for enhancing quality and process efficiency.
  • Develop and modify machinery or devices while adhering to safety standards and operational guidelines.
  • Support the Pursuit Tiered Review Process to ensure continuous feedback and improvement.
  • Interpret blueprints and apply basic design and fabrication skills to improve processes.
  • Provide innovative, hands-on solutions to operational challenges.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Operators, Engineers, and Quality Assurance personnel.
  • Participate in various roles throughout the organization as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
  • Mentor and support colleagues in their continuous improvement journey.
  • Travel to different Pursuit sites to lead and participate in Kaizen workshops.
  • Act as a backup for the Site KPO leader when required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering.
  • A strong commitment to continuous improvement principles, embodying a servant leadership approach.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical components and machine design.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in working both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience in manufacturing or operations is advantageous.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency and adaptability.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge and experience in continuous improvement methodologies are preferred.
  • Familiarity with aerospace component manufacturing processes, including fabrication, machining, and welding, is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform work while standing, sitting, or walking.
  • Effective communication skills, utilizing speech, vision, and hearing.
  • Physical capability to bend, squat, crawl, climb, and reach as necessary.
