Position Summary:

We are in search of a Lead Electronics Engineer to oversee PC board troubleshooting within Lincoln's Electronics Factory. This role entails spearheading enhancements related to design and manufacturing processes. This position presents a remarkable opportunity to be part of a pioneering leader in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead intricate technical investigations with significant implications.
  • Conduct capability and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) studies aimed at quality enhancements; spearhead improvements in PC board testing.
  • Engineer and facilitate the safe, high-quality, cost-effective, ergonomic, and environmentally sustainable manufacturing of PC boards for the Electronics Factory.
  • Develop documentation and troubleshooting manuals for new product launches.
  • Proactively address and resolve issues related to testing, manufacturing, and design to support production goals.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance first-pass yield.
  • Collaborate effectively with R&D, Plant Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and other personnel within the Electronics Factory to elevate quality, manufacturability, and value of PC board designs.
  • Engage professionally as a liaison with external resources, including equipment suppliers, consultants, and technical organizations.
  • Oversee the evaluation and implementation of employee suggestions.
  • Conduct cost analyses and initiate cost reduction strategies.
  • Create and continuously refine effective training resources and work instructions for production staff.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in an electronics engineering discipline with over 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • A comprehensive understanding of board design and associated design tools.
  • Proficiency in reading and creating electrical schematics.
  • A strong grasp of Lean methodology tools to foster continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work autonomously or collaboratively within a team, demonstrating excellent organizational skills to manage diverse assignments and shifting priorities.
  • Possess and apply extensive knowledge and experience to projects that yield significant enhancements in service level, quality, and value within the Electronics Factory.
