Job purpose

Twin Town's Men's Residential Program in St. Paul, Minnesota is seeking a dynamic and skilled leader for its interdisciplinary team. Twin Town's program is dedicated to supporting trauma-responsive and co-occurring care in the St. Paul community, offering a meaningful opportunity to make a difference.

The Treatment Director will oversee the overall operations of the program. This leader will ensure professional safety and clinical fidelity while also aligning program operations with fiscal expectations. Serving as the clinical and operational expert, the Treatment Director will be part of a larger director team within Meridian Behavioral Health and report directly to the VP of Clinical Services.

The purpose of this position is to oversee the overall operations of the specific facility while ensuring a professional safe environment for clients and employees. If a Treatment Director is simultaneously a LADC or a licensed MHP, that individual must be considered a .5 FTE equivalent clinician for purposes of meeting staffing requirements.

LADC &/Or LICSW/LPCC/LMFT Preferred. Salary based on licensure and experience.

Duties and responsibilities

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

  • Develop and implement specific annual objectives for the facility.
  • Develop and monitor annual budget to ensure fiscal stability.
  • Ensure current state, federal and accreditation requirements are met.
  • Provide leadership and staff development.
  • Write monthly financial summaries/analysis.
  • Oversee and participate in the auditing process to ensure that Rule 31 regulations are being met.
  • Program review and design
  • Review referrals for potential admissions
  • Assist in all departments as qualified and as needed
  • Weekly payroll entries/approvals
  • Critical incident reviews and submissions
  • Crisis intervention
  • To act with authority in the best interest(s) of the clients, staff, stakeholders and community.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • The Director may admit, transfer, or discharge clients.
  • Complete on-going training on cultural awareness and demonstration of sensitivity to various cultural norms and values.
  • Other duties as assignedQualifications
  • Must have at least one year of work experience in direct service to individuals with chemical use problems or one year work experience in the management or administration of direct service to individuals with chemical use problems; and
  • Have a baccalaureate degree or three years of work experience in administration or personnel supervision in human services.
  • Must know and understand all rules, regulations, and requirements of the assigned program.
  • A minimum of two years' freedom from chemical abuse problems.
  • Must document 12 hours of training in co-occurring mental health problems and chemical abuse of dependency that includes competencies related to philosophy, screening, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning, documentation, programming, medication, collaboration, mental health consultation, discharge planning.

  • Ability to communicate with a variety of people from diverse cultures, socioeconomic and educational backgrounds.
  • Strong knowledge of the 12 core functions
  • Flexibility to meet a variety of changing priorities
  • Computer skills to draft emails, memos, and reporting.

Physical requirements

  • Hearing Ability to hear staff, incoming calls, and callers
  • Vision Ability to see computer screen and written charts to document

outcomes and obtain data

  • Speaking Ability to speak to staff and external customers
  • Sitting Approximately 5-6 hours per day
  • Standing Approximately 1-2 hours per day
