Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic professional to join our team as the Head of Asset Management Marketing. In this role, you will be responsible for driving awareness for Northern Trust Asset Management's brand and investment expertise to initiate and strengthen client engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to improve awareness of and adoption of our capabilities, including developing marketing plans, setting measurable objectives, and identifying target audiences.
  • Oversee the development of compelling marketing content, across various formats, to increase engagement with our target institutional and wealth management audiences.
  • Manage and increase the brand image of NTAM, ensuring consistency in messaging, visual identity, and brand positioning across all marketing channels, platforms, and materials.
  • Enhance the use of existing digital channels and leverage new channels to scale our marketing efforts, increasing brand visibility and generating leads.
  • Collaborate closely with key internal stakeholders to drive client acquisition and retention efforts, developing and implementing client engagement programs to foster strong relationships with clients, industry influencers, and key partners.
  • Set clear and measurable objectives, consistently monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of the group's efforts, deriving data-driven insights from all marketing activities and third-party platforms to inform marketing activities and increase their effectiveness.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, client needs, and competitor strategies, analyzing market data and client insights to inform marketing strategies and product development initiatives.
  • Lead a team of marketing professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture within the marketing team.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Finance, or a related field, with a Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in asset management marketing, with a focus on institutional and wealth management investor segments, and a minimum of 5 years' experience in a large, global multinational organization.
  • Deep knowledge of the asset management industry, investment capabilities, and investor segments, globally.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies in the asset management sector, with experience in marketing asset management vehicles in various growth areas of asset management.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing best practices and experience in leveraging digital channels for lead generation and brand building.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex investment concepts into clear and compelling messages.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to leverage data and insights to drive marketing decisions.
  • Demonstrated experience effectively managing senior stakeholders across large organizations.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience in managing and developing a team.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Professional certifications such as CFA or CIMA preferred, and FINRA licensing preferred (Series 7 and 24).
