Overview
The Hospitality Recruiter will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent to our Hospitality locations. We are looking for a recruiter who has high volume experience in the Hospitality/ Restaurant industry to join our team and help to build our Hospitality team which is projected to double over the next two years. This position reports to the Director, Talent Acquisition.
This role pays a salary of 70-80k
Benefits for FT roles: Benefits: Health, Dental and Vision insurance, 401(k) savings plan, 401(k) matching, and paid time off (vacation days, sick days, and 12 holidays).
This position will remain open until August 31, 2024
Responsibilities
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Builds a pipeline of Hospitality professionals (Executive Chefs, Sous Chefs, Asst General Managers, General Managers, Directors of Food and Beverage) through networking and cold calling.
- Support the centralized talent acquisition, recruiting all full-time employees throughout the organization.
- Develops, facilitates, improves, and implements all phases of the recruitment process.
- Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
- Attending career fairs with our university recruiter at culinary training institutions such as Culinary Institute of America and Johnson and Wales.
- Builds and delivers a diverse group of applicants ready to accept and interested in joining Oak View Group
- Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
- Oversees all job posting and advertisement processes.
- Screens applications and selects qualified candidates.
- Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
- Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Skills/Abilities:
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bilingual a plus
- Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
- Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. · Facilities experience preferred.
Education and Experience:
- Must have recruitment experience in the Hospitality field, preferably, five years' experience with all phases of the recruitment and hiring process
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
- Experience with sourcing leadership positions (typically Director and up)
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
- SHRM's Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential a plus.
