Job Description

The Washington Post is seeking an experienced Account Manager who will build and strengthen client relationships to achieve long-term partnerships. At the Washington Post, client relationships are our top priority, the Account Manager will maintain client accounts and serve as the main point of contact for client needs, account performance and growth. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and a drive for providing exceptional customer service throughout all phases of the post-sale customer lifecycle.

Responsibilities:
Act as the central point of contact in all matters related to client concerns, needs and project manage campaign launch, execution and performance for flawless client experience.Develop a thorough understanding of the clients' position in the market, their product/service, points of difference and competitive landscapeEstablish and build strong working relationships with business leaders at all levelsAdvocate internally for the solutions required to drive successful business outcomesAnticipate how decisions are made, persistently explore and uncover the business needs of key clients and understand how our range of product offerings can grow their businessMaintain accurate client records and manage performance to drive outcome and delivery utilizing detailed reporting and analysis to:
Optimize and adjust the targeting mix (geo, audience, topics) to meet performance expectationsOptimize and adjust platform and product mix to achieve performance KPIs (brand awareness, conversions, CTR) and meet standard ad buying metrics (inclusive of viewability, brand safety, 3rd party ad tracking)Deliver compelling and thoughtful stories through data and analyticsPartner with Client Partners and Marketing to deliver wrap reports that outline goals, performance against goals, insights, and recommendations.Responsible for future client renewal recommendations

Qualifications:
5 years in sales or account management roleA proactive, customer-first, solutions-oriented and professional attitudeWorking knowledge of media/advertising industry and agency landscapeNegotiation skills related to renewals, upsells, cross-selling and product add-onsAbility to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlinesExceptional interpersonal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently across teamsSoft skills in sales, marketing, communication, customer service, technical, leadership, and analytical skills.Advanced skill level of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with systems, platforms, and vendors such as: JIRA, Operative, Salesforce, Insertion Order Systems (MediaOcean, Prisma, etc.)Bachelor's degree in related field preferred, although not required

Benefits may vary based on the job, full-time or part-time schedule, location, and collectively bargained status.

The salary range for this position is:
85, ,700.00 USD Annual

The actual salary within this range will depend on individual skills, experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements. This position may be eligible for a bonus or incentive program, and a member of the Talent Acquisition team will discuss bonus payment terms and conditions during the interview process.
