We are pleased to announce an opening for a Client Account Management Specialist at Eversheds Sutherland (US) LLP. This role is ideal for an individual eager to contribute meaningfully as part of a skilled and dynamic team comprising lawyers, paralegals, and business professionals.

The Client Account Management Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the objectives and operations of the firm's client account management within the Accounting Department. This position requires collaboration with Partners, Secretaries, and Clients to deliver exceptional, results-oriented support and service, ensuring timely collection of Accounts Receivable to surpass firm expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Document communications among clients, attorneys, and accounting personnel using ARCS Collections Software.
  • Conduct research on client activities, including historical billing and collections, to gain comprehensive insights into client behavior.
  • Identify and assist in resolving recurring issues that may negatively impact billing and collections.
  • Coordinate with Accounts Receivable personnel to ensure accurate allocation of received client funds.
  • Assist in the application of unallocated cash.
  • Maintain a high level of discretion, confidentiality, and sound judgment in all accounting transactions and interactions.
  • Address receivables related to transitioning Partners and ensure timely re-assignment of matters in line with Accounting procedures.
  • Seek write-off approvals as necessary, adhering to firm policy.
  • Achieve proficiency in Aderant and other reporting software to support Partners and administrative staff.
  • Provide ad hoc reporting as requested by Accounting Management or other firm leaders.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement approved changes.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related business field; experience in legal or professional services is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a broad understanding of applications and databases.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively, presenting ideas in a clear and user-friendly manner.
  • Exhibit sound judgment in decision-making.
  • Comfortably interact with individuals at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Proficient in accounting and business software applications, with advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Extensive knowledge of accounting software systems is required.

This position is remote, and compensation will be based on relevant experience and geographic location. The salary range for this role is $60,000 - $90,000.
