The Principal Technology Scout for Cytiva is responsible for discovering, analyzing and evaluating new or existing technologies, products and/or capabilities that will support and enable Cytiva business goals and strategic imperatives. While much of the work is focused on building the innovation pipeline, scouting and alliance management activities may also be deployed to support current business and product development initiatives, capacity needs, supplier identification and business continuity.
This position is part of the Chief Technology Organization located in Marlborough, MA and will be fully remote. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.
What you will do:
- Work with the business and CTO teams to create an Open Innovation funnel and portfolio of partners for Cytiva that creates value, enables on-time delivery and supports the Cytiva business by contributing to double digit growth and GCV targets.
- Support efforts to identify opportunities where external solutions provide additional value e.g. speed to market, competitive advantage, thought leadership
- Supplement organic research & development pipeline by identifying and executing external opportunities to boost the a) early pre-Toll Gate 2 funnel, b) the New Product Development pipeline
- Search for solutions using specific criteria defined by business needs and aligned with Cytiva strategy.
- Identify opportunities to bring insight and awareness from outside
- Explore a range of partner types including large and small technology companies, government labs, universities, start-up companies, private sector sources.
- Use Danaher Business System (DBS) innovation tools (such as Strategy Partner Grow - SPG) to formulate and manage the innovation pipeline ensuring the business invests in the technologies and capabilities needed to stay ahead of the competition and maintain/gain market leadership in areas of strategic importance for Cytiva. Who You Are
- Bachelor's Degree
- 8+ years of relevant work experience
- 5+ years technical experience in biopharmaceutical manufacturing
