Objective & Purpose

Join SAP as a Manager of Social Media Strategy, on our newly formed Social Strategy and Planning Team. In this pivotal role, you'll help drive SAP's global social content and planning efforts, championing the development and implementation of a data-driven, audience-centric social media strategy. Working closely with business and marketing leaders, you'll collaborate to define channel and content strategies that align with our business objectives and audience insights.

Drawing from your digital and social expertise, you will challenge conventional thinking and drive innovation. As a trusted ambassador of the SAP brand, you will leverage social channels to deliver measurable results, guided by your understanding of the customer journey, audience interests, and data analytics.

Your ability to build strong partnerships and deliver high-quality results will be instrumental in driving SAP's social media program. With a relentless focus on community building, you will cultivate a brand that resonates with our audience, while helping to drive adoption and consumption.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and Implement our Social Media Strategy: Drive a holistic, scalable, and innovative approach to social media strategy, aligning with the evolution of the Corporate Marketing operating model and vision.
  • Stay Ahead of Trends: Continually innovate and anticipate changes in the digital marketing and social media landscape to ensure our strategy is both modern and effective.
  • Agency Management: Key partner and guide to our social media agency of record, ensuring optimal ROI and delivery of compelling creative that captures attention and encourages engagement.
  • Ensure Quality Assurance: Maintain accountability for the quality of all social media plans and content to ensure they meet the highest standards.
  • Facilitate Collaboration: Act as a central resource with your business and marketing stakeholders for social media-related information, fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, best practices, and enthusiasm for social media across teams and programs. Partner with your social media colleagues on the management, creative and operations team to support work processes, creative deliverables, audience moderation and reporting practices.
  • Liaise with Stakeholders: Serve as a key liaison across working teams, business units and regional social colleagues to ensure investment and strategy alignment across the organization.
  • Provide Thought Leadership: Work closely with internal stakeholders to provide thought leadership on emerging trends, while collaborating to support and achieve holistic goals.
  • Report on Performance: Support business partners by providing regular reviews on overall performance, ensuring transparency and accountability on an ongoing basis. Work in partnership with listening and reporting managers to ensure data accuracy and actionable insights.

What The Social Media Strategy and Planning Team Will Do

  • Partner with SAP marketing and executive leadership, representing the social team in strategy and measurement discussions.
  • Partner across Marketing and Solutions, leading the development of our social-first content strategy across SAP social media channels.
  • Prepare detailed campaign plans and creative briefs and ensure alignment across all channels and adherence to team goals.
  • Work cross-functionally to complete campaign analysis and identify applicable insights to improve effectiveness.
  • Stay up to date with trends and technologies in the social media and programmatic spaces and suggest new ways to implement these into our processes.
  • Deliver informed and insightful strategic POV of audience insights that achieves goals and serves our audiences' interests, including planning and prioritization, from intake of briefs to detailed measurement reports.

What You'll Need

  • 6-8+ years of combined experience in social media and/or programmatic digital marketing roles, demonstrating a deep understanding of industry best practices.
  • Proven experience in strategic brainstorming, campaign development, and creative brief development, with a track record of translating goals into innovative creative projects.
  • Experience in community building and moderation, fostering engagement and driving brand advocacy across social platforms.
  • Ability to embrace transformation and think on your feet, adapting strategies and plans to meet the evolving needs of the dynamic social media landscape.
  • Demonstrated expertise in navigating large, complex global organizations, effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve objectives.
  • Creative thinker and problem solver, thriving in fast-paced environments and overseeing multiple transformative initiatives with attention to detail.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP's commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 99, ,000 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
