Job Description

This position will report to the Senior Manager of Accounting. The Financial Analyst is expected to interact effectively with other areas within Reinsurance Services, other departments within the organization such as Finance & Internal Audit as well as financial institutions.

Responsibilities :
  • Prepare and analyze Monthly/Quarterly PeopleSoft Account Reconciliations
  • SOX Preparation/ Oversight
  • Financial Reporting / Flux Analysis
  • Internal Management Reporting
  • Preparation of PeopleSoft Journal Entries
  • Provide information to Financial Compliance, Internal Audit & PWC as requested
  • Perform treasury functions including monitoring disbursements and receipts
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree - Accounting/Finance/Business
    • 1-3 years of industry (insurance/reinsurance) related experience
    • Ability to utilize technology to maximize productivity
    • Ability to take ownership and work independently
    • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, technical knowledge and organizational skills
    • Strong time management skills
    • Demonstrated teamwork skills
    • Ability to multitask and reprioritize assignments as needed
    • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to proactively identify issues and recommend sound solutions
    • Effective communication and presentation skills required in order to describe and explain business situations and problems
    • Ability to work effectively with other disciplines at various levels throughout the organization as well as with our brokers/reinsurers & financial institutions
    • Willingness/desire to continuously build on insurance/reinsurance knowledge
    • Proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook, Word
