Quality and Safety Coordinator

Provides leadership in the areas of quality assurance, safety, and security within the laboratory.

Aids manager in all site activities for compliance with agency regulations and standards.

  • Reviews and analyzes metric data
  • Trends data
  • Provides detailed analysis to site and quality management

Drafts appropriate Quality SOPs, management review and reports.

Assists in programs such as

  • Incident management system
  • Change Control
  • PT
  • Monitoring

Interacts with site personnel to ensure the timely completion and submission of proficiency test results. Maintains files documenting the site's proficiency tests performance.

Uses considerable judgment skills to conduct audit/monitoring and aid in non-conformances

Prepares licensure applications within the prescribed timeframes.

Supports site with Document control processes

Maintains QA documentation as per established retention guidelines including but not limited to:

  • PT
  • Licensure
  • IMS documentation
  • Monitoring documentation
  • Audit documentation
  • Special Projects: As directed by Manager

Leads site EHS program including but not limited to:

  • Conducting New Hire EHS Training
  • Facilitating monthly EHS committee meetings
  • Scheduling of Annual Emergency Drills
  • Auditing EHS compliance
  • Maintenance of site EHS manual
  • Assist with employee injury reports, investigation and root cause analysis
  • Interact with 3rd party inspectors

Supervisory Relationships: Accomplishes tasks with minimal direct supervision

Bachelor's degree in a scientific field preferred. Minimum 1-2 years relevant Quality/EHS experience preferred. Strong computer skills, including but not limited to the following Microsoft applications: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
