Automated Packaging Technician

Position Summary
The role involves assembling and testing automated packaging systems. You will be responsible for integrating mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components according to technical drawings and schematics. Collaboration with various departments such as engineering, inventory, service, and shipping is essential to ensure project timelines are met.
Key Responsibilities
1. Interpret and execute assembly drawings and instructions.
2. Assemble and align sub-assemblies and structural components accurately.
3. Install sub-assembly components onto the main frame following specified guidelines.
4. Connect and adjust pneumatic systems as required.
5. Follow electrical schematics for wiring installations.
6. Mount and wire electrical components, including motors and sensors.
7. Adhere to all safety protocols during assembly processes.
8. Modify components based on engineering feedback.
9. Report any issues to supervisors and collaborate with engineering and quality teams.
10. Conduct tests and adjustments on mechanical and electrical assemblies, ensuring compliance with assembly instructions.
Collaboration and Inventory Management
Work closely with the service department to assist in equipment installation at customer sites. Maintain accurate inventory control using production orders and coordinate with inventory management to ensure availability of necessary parts.
Qualifications
To excel in this position, candidates should possess the following:
- High School diploma or GED; technical training in Industrial Electronics or related fields is advantageous.
- Ability to lift and manage physical demands of the role.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to follow detailed instructions.
