Position Overview:

Shelton Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an individual who possesses a compassionate demeanor towards the elderly, excels in listening, can easily establish connections, and demonstrates strong communication abilities. If you are passionate about enhancing the lives of our residents and can collaborate effectively with a team, we invite you to consider the Activities Director role and become a valued member of the EmpRes community.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement group activities that foster engagement among residents. Inform residents and staff about scheduled activities. Engage with residents individually to provide: Companionship. Sensory engagement. Orientation to reality. Support in fulfilling the unique needs outlined in each resident's Activity Plan. Coordinate with nursing staff to assist in transporting residents to and from activity areas. Maintain cleanliness and organization in activity spaces. Preferred: Certification as an Activities Director.
