Academy Administrator

The Academy Administrator will assist the Academy Director and the entire Academy staff by providing administrative, logistical and communications support. These duties include but are not limited to communication with Major League Soccer (MLS), different departments within D.C. United, the academy families/players, staff partners. Managing fields, equipment and making travel arrangements is necessary, as is managing calendars and internal financial information. The Academy Administrator will have to be adaptable enough to manage other projects and requests from the staff as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide administrative and logistical support to the Academy Director and the entire academy staff
- Manage academy calendar in terms of training, matches, travel and other events
- Be first point of contact for travel, meals, IT, match logistics, training logistics, equipment logistics, ticketing department, media department
- Be first point of contact with families re: logistics
- Book hotels, busses, vans, flights, meals for academy travel
- Manage equipment orders & distribution
- Keep in constant communication with academy players and their families when necessary
- Keep in constant communication with Academy Director, Director of coaching and the rest of the staff as necessary
- Help with club logistics when necessary
- Represent D.C. United with top class appearance & professionalism
QUALIFICATIONS
- Administrative experience in a high paced environment
- Exceptional organization, communication, presentation, & management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Available to work flexible hours including nights, weekends & holidays
- Most weekend and some holiday travel will be expected
Base pay is one part of the total compensation package and is determined within a range. The good faith anticipated base pay range for this role is shown below, and actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experiences, location, and other business and organizational needs.
Anticipated pay: $50,000.
