In this vital role you will be responsible for communicating scientific information on Amgen marketed products and disease states within the Inflammation therapeutic area to the healthcare community, enabling informed decision making for efficient patient care and access to Amgen products, through the development of Global/US scientific and medical communication resources including but not limited to slide decks, clinical/scientific FAQs and medical information letters for Amgens Inflammation portfolio. This position offers an opportunity to work in a matrix environment with global and US cross-functional partners, that are passionate about supporting Amgens scientific programs.Responsibilities:Contribute to development of Global Core Content (GCC) deliverables based on annual GCC plan and timelinesAppropriately use system of record (i.e., VOLT) for GCC collaboration, review, and approval stepsEnsure accuracy of scientific contentSupport regional counterparts by serving as a point of contact for specific deliverables/projectsDevelop US scientific resources and/or regionalize GCC for Medical Science Liaison (MSL) resourcesUnderstand US regulatory landscape and apply expertise to development of scientific resourcesMonitor and analyze medical insights to inform development of scientific contentDrive and/or support strategy and scientific content development for scientific meetings, including congress deliverables, disease state education programs and developing/adapting scientific content for digital platformsDrive and/or support strategy and scientific content development for advisory boardsReviewing promotional and educational materials for scientific accuracyDevelop and maintain Medical Information standard response documents related to Amgen InflammationSupport responses to global and US complex Medical Information case issuesAnalyze medical literature to inform medical strategies and tacticsEffectively manage use of vendors for content development and manage project-associated budgetsSome travel may be required approximately 10-20%.WinWhat we expect of you We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. Basic Qualifications: Doctorate degree Or Masters degree and 2 years of clinical, academic or industry experience Or Bachelors degree and 4 years of clinical, academic or industry experience Or Associates degree and 8 years of clinical, academic or industry experience Or High school diploma / GED and 10 years of clinical, academic or industry experience Preferred Qualifications:PharmD, PhD, MD, or DO with one or more years of experience in clinical research, patient care, Medical/Scientific Affairs, and/or basic research (Other doctorate degrees may be considered)Prior experience in Medical Affairs or Clinical Development within the biopharmaceutical industry, and/or clinical or research experience in the area of InflammationAn understanding of the pharmaceutical commercialization process and knowledge of the regulatory and legal guidelines affecting promotion of prescription productsSkill in writing and presenting on scientific and clinical dataExcellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, organizational, time management, and project planning skills with strong ability for self-directionDemonstrated track record in a matrix environment with limited supervisionThe ability to work in teams and interface in a dynamic environment across corporate functionsUnderstanding of disease landscape and clinical data to enable critical analysis of scientific literature and communicate implications cross-functionallyPrior experience of successfully managing consultants and vendorsStrong computer and database skills, particularly with Microsoft Office productsThriveWhat you can expect of us As we work to develop treatments that take care of others, we also work to care for our teammates professional and personal growth and well-being.
