Main Purpose of Job

This position has total administrative responsibility for a social services unit responsible for providing services to vulnerable citizens.�\r

POSITION DUTIES

\r
Review and analyze operational procedures to interface with other operations in an effort to increase efficiency of current procedures, to include the implementation of new procedures as necessary.�\r
Oversee the analysis and interpretation of the unit operations.�\r
Resolve customer complaints regarding program decisions.�\r
Provide training, guidance and direction to the unit in order to ensure adherence to agency, state, and federal requirements and mandates.�\r
Oversee the implementation of corrective action plans necessary as a result of agency, legislative, or federal audit recommendations.\r

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:�\r
A bachelor's\r
degree from an accredited college or university.�\r
Experience:�\r
Four years\r
of experience in administrative staff or professional work, two years of experience overseeing and managing the\r
financial resources of a program and an additional two years of supervisory experience.�\r
Notes:\r
1. Additional\r
experience in administrative staff or professional work may be substituted on a\r
year-for-year basis for the required education.\r
2. Additional graduate\r
level education at an accredited college or university may be substituted at\r
the rate of 30 semester credit hours on a year-to-year basis for the required\r
general experience.\r
3. Candidates may\r
substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned\r
officer involving staff work related to the administration of rules,\r
regulations, policy, procedures, and processes, or overseeing or coordinating\r
unit operations or functioning as a staff assistant to a higher-ranking\r
commissioned officer on a year-to-year basis for the required education and\r
experience.\r

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will possess:\r

One year of experience with Family Investment Programs\r
One year of experience with OHEP Programs and DHS Data Management system\r
One year of experience using spreadsheet software such as Excel or Google Sheets.\r
One year of experience developing and implementing training\r
\r
\r

Personal Leave - new State employees are awarded six (6) personnel days annually (prorated based on start date).\r
Annual Leave - ten (10) days of accumulated annual leave per year.\r

Parental Leave - up to sixty (60) days of paid parental leave upon the birth or adoption of a child.\r
