The Human Resources Intern will assist the Human Resources Department with a wide range of projects across different functional areas while learning how to take acquired skills and apply them in a professional setting. Through this experience, the HR Intern will gain significant knowledge and insight into the food manufacturing industry as well as the field of Human Resources.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Support department objectives, procedures, and performance standards within boundaries of company policy.
  • Work in conjunction with the HR team on various special projects or duties as assigned.
  • Contribute to and collaborate with team members on project tasks and deliverables.
  • Assist with data entry or data review within HR related systems and company intranet pages.
  • Assist with creating content for The Jel Sert Company's social media platforms.
  • Work with our Safety Team on setting up established training programs.
  • Assist our Plant Human Resources team with various administrative tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Currently enrolled in an associates or bachelor's degree program, with an emphasis in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, or a related field.
  • Bilingual Spanish strongly preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES

  • Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality
  • Strong administrative skills, attention to detail and well organized
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interactive communication skills

This position will assist the HR team with a variety of projects associated with our employee and candidate engagement initiative.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
