The Assistant Manager works directly under the Park Manager supervising a team of Workampers, supporting park patrol, general oversight of maintenance and repair, plumbing, electrical, operating equipment - backhoe, mini-excavator, brush-cutting devices, and similar. The Office Assistant works directly under the Office Manager and performs duties such as processing member data, taking payments, monitoring gate entry, registering guests, and providing general customer service to members. Must be familiar with Microsoft and familiarity with QuickBooks is a plus. Available now. Submit your resume to:

I. Assistant Manager General Information

  • A. The Assistant Manager shall work under the direct supervision of the Park Manager, or in his/her absence, the President of the Association.
  • B. The Assistant Manager is required to read and understand the job description of the Park Manager and to act accordingly in his absence.
  • C. The workday begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m. five days a week, forty (40) hours a week. Occasional different start/end times may occur based upon the Manager's judgment. However, this position is considered to be "on call" for emergencies at all times.

II. General Operations

  • A. Supervises all Comfort Station and Lodge Attendants. Assists other Seasonal employees as necessary to maintain all Association property.
  • B. Assists with the enforcement of Bylaws and Rules.
  • C. Acts as Park Manager during his/her absence

III. Specific Summer Responsibilities (May-October)

  • A. Patrols Park interior to ensure safety and security. Special attention will be paid to unfamiliar persons on Member sites, leaky water faucets, fires in unapproved fire pits, road or trail conditions that may be a safety hazard.
  • B. Assists the Board of Directors, or its designated Committee, with the inspection of fire pits and the issuance of certificates for approval or rejection.
  • C.Inspects playground areas and equipment and reports possible replacement needs to the Park Manager.
  • D.Inspects, cleans and repairs road drainage systems for clogged gutters and culverts.
  • E. Locates and operates fire suppression equipment weekly to ensure all such equipment is in good working condition. Assists the Board of Directors, or its designated Committee, with periodic fire drills for Members and employees.
  • F. Assists with the inspection and filling of propane bottles daily.
  • G. Operates the "Honey Wagon".
  • H. Repairs comfort stations and replaces supplies if necessary.
  • I. Assists in falling and removal of trees. Splits wood as needed for winter use.
  • J. Assists with the winterizing of all water distribution systems in the fall and de-winterizes in the spring.
  • K. Assists with the maintenance and repair of all structures, equipment, vehicles, fixtures, furnishings, supplies, and inventory.
  • L. Assists with the repair of all utility systems, water repair, basic construction.
  • M. Is responsible and accountable for the care, cleanliness and condition of the Assistant Manager's mobile, and all furnishings and equipment provided by The Association for his/her use.
  • N. Assists with the protection and security of Association facilities
  • O. Performs all other duties as assigned by the Park Manager, or in his absence, the President.

IV. Specific Winter Responsibilities (November-April)

  • A. Assists with the maintenance and repair of all structures, equipment, vehicles, fixtures, furnishings, supplies, and inventory.
  • B. Assists with the protection and security of Association facilities and performs "drive-by" inspections around the perimeter of the Park, paying particular attention to Unfamiliar persons on Member sites and/or Association property, Road or trail conditions that may be a safety hazard.
  • C. Is responsible and accountable for the care, cleanliness, and condition of the Assistant Manager's mobile, and all furnishings and equipment provided by the Association for his/her use.
  • D. Assists in the Office by answering the phones, ensuring that no unauthorized person enters the Park, and registering guests.

Office Assistant Duties:

  • A. Acknowledges the existence of the Association Policy and Procedure Manual and knows how to use it.
  • B. General filing.
  • C. Answers the telephone and takes any appropriate action.
  • D. Processes requests for gate key cards.
  • E. Monitors gate entry and registers all guests.
  • F. Prepares correspondence.
  • G. Receipts and documents all monies received.
  • H. Ensures that all funds in cash or checks are deposited within four (4) days of receipt in the absence or direction of the Office Manager.
  • I. Prepares and makes bank deposits, delivers mail to the Post Office, and picks up supplies in the absence or direction of the Office Manager.
  • J. Posts the Board of Director agenda, monthly financial statements and minutes of the open meetings of the Board of Directors.
  • K. Assists with the composition and publishing of the Newsletter, email blasts and website.
  • L. Assists in the monthly audit.
  • M. Processes Computer input.
  • N. Maintains current Association Policy and Procedure Manual as approved by the Board of Directors in the absence or direction of the Office Manager.
  • O. Maintains current Office Procedure Manuals in conjunction with the Office Manager.
  • P. Performs other duties as may be required.
