Position Summary

As the Retail Operations Manager, you will oversee the performance of Optimum's retail locations, ensuring that sales targets, productivity, accuracy, and quality standards are consistently achieved. You will mentor and engage with both employees and customers, addressing escalated issues with professionalism and ensuring a positive resolution. Your role will also involve enforcing store policies and practices to guarantee an outstanding customer service experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate the performance of retail staff and provide constructive feedback to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure accurate cash handling and provide training to retail employees on best practices.
  • Develop and maintain a competent team of Retail Sales Agents through effective training and motivation.
  • Monitor service quality in accordance with company policies to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in managing employee records, including payroll and attendance.
  • Guarantee timely and accurate store openings and closings.
  • Support management in controlling expenses related to overtime and departmental costs.
  • Report any significant cash discrepancies and take necessary disciplinary actions.
  • Facilitate regular team meetings and conference calls to discuss performance and strategies.
  • Communicate sales goals clearly to all team members and monitor their performance.
  • Develop retail sales strategies that align with the overall business objectives.
  • Maximize customer interactions to exceed growth and profit targets.
  • Drive sales of Optimum products while maintaining operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards for merchandising and planograms.
  • Collaborate with other channels to increase store traffic and participate in promotional events.
  • Be flexible to travel to various store locations as needed.
  • Supervise and manage team performance, attendance, and training requirements.
  • Assist in the hiring process and performance evaluations of Retail Sales Consultants.
Qualifications
  • Associate Degree in Business preferred; High School diploma required; at least five years of relevant sales experience in a customer-focused environment.
  • A minimum of three years in a high-volume retail or customer service setting.
  • Bilingual candidates, particularly Spanish speakers, are highly preferred.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure while managing multiple tasks.
  • Experience in a dynamic and fast-paced retail environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong supervisory skills, including coaching and time management.
  • Valid Driver's License and willingness to travel to multiple locations within a 35-mile radius.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire a high-performing sales team.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 35 pounds for extended periods.
