The Myrtle Beach Classic is a PGA TOUR regular season FedExCup event hosted at the Dunes Golf and Beach Club in Myrtle Beach, SC. The second annual event will host 132 PGA TOUR professionals on May 8-11, 2025

JOB TITLE: Manager, Tournament Services & Volunteers

PRIMARY WORK LOCATION: Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

JOB OVERVIEW & TEAM

As the Manager of Tournament Services & Volunteers, you will be responsible for managing volunteers, tournament ticketing, marketing and special events. To be successful in this position you will need to be able to manage multiple long-term projects and strategically manage time and resources.

The Manager of Tournament Services & Volunteers is a member of the U.S. Golf Events Division and will be based out of the Myrtle Beach Classic Tournament Office. This position will report directly to the Tournament Director of the Myrtle Beach Classic.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Volunteers; as the head of the volunteer program you will be responsible for developing and managing the volunteer experience. You will be responsible for recruitment, training and retainment of chairpersons and volunteer committees (approximately 1300 volunteers). Ticketing & Credentialling; this position will oversee the year-round ticketing program. You will work closely with and manage the Ticketmaster relationship, oversee ticket launch, manage on-site ticketing and credential operations, and provide periodic pacing reports. Marketing; this position will be the day-to-day contact for the tournament's promotions agency. You will be accountable for coordinating marketing campaigns with all other tournament functions. Social Media; lead coordination of the tournaments year-round social media campaigns.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES

Two (2) + years of sports and/or events experience Passionate about providing great customer service High attention to detail Strong verbal and written communication skillsKnowledge of modern computer operations including use of Word, Teams, Power Point, Creative Design, Excel, and Outlook

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES

Experience leading a successful professional golf event volunteer program Experience with Ticketmaster ticketing platform Experience managing marketing and promotions relating to ticketing and social media campaignsAbility to travel and support other events in SPORTFIVE's portfolio (travel is not guaranteed with this position)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

This position is based in the Myrtle Beach Classic Tournament Office, not eligible for remote work Ability to work nights and weekends as needed
