Job Summary and Description:
This position will report to the Advanced Nuclear Technology (ANT) Program. EPRI's Advanced Nuclear Technology (ANT) Program conducts research to support deployment of new and advanced reactors around the world. The candidate for this position will lead the Nuclear Beyond Electricity initiative.

The Nuclear Beyond Electricity Initiative is focused on developing and supporting non-electric missions for nuclear power, including but not limited to the following:

Low Carbon Fuels (Hydrogen, etc)
Industrial Applications (Process heat, etc)
District energy
Data Centers
Water (Desalination)
Maritime
Medical Isotopes

Responsibilities will include:
Developing and implementing a research strategy for non-electric missions for nuclear energy
Working with EPRI members and other industry stakeholders to ensure research priorities are aligned with stakeholder needs as well as industry timelines
Helping to develop and identify new research projects

The ideal candidate will have:
Knowledge of the nuclear power industry
Experience leading projects and deploying new technology (could include projects outside of the nuclear power industry)
Knowledge of one or more non-electric applications of nuclear energy
Project management skills, including scope, schedule and cost development and management
Enthusiasm for working on a variety of projects and learning new things
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 15 or more years of research and development project and promotional experience demonstrating advanced skills in research, project management and technology transfer
Experience in performing and/or managing research activities
Experience in successful project management of proposal preparation, and marketing activities
Responsible for project(s) planning, budget, deliverables, and project success
Creates scope, develops and manages one or more complex projects including promoting concepts with members
Experience in presenting project results to members and advisors
Demonstrated skill working in the collaborative environment with members and other stakeholders
Shows maturity of technical expertise and assumes responsibility for highly specialized technical objectives
Exercises good judgment, diligence, and attention to detail and demonstrate an aptitude for carrying out responsible technical assignments.
Proven people management experience with a strong grasp of the skills related to recruitment, hiring, people development, and retention
Requires little to no supervision
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The salary range for this position is $178,600 USD to $196,350 USD annually.


This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on various factors, including without limitation applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This role is eligible to participate in EPRI's annual incentive program. The amount of incentive varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the plan.


This role is eligible to participate in EPRI's standard employee benefit programs, which currently include the following: medical, dental, vision, 401k, STD/LTD and paid family leave, life and accident insurance, paid time off (flexible vacation, sick leave, and holiday pay).


EPRI participates in E-Verify, an online system operated jointly by the Department of Homeland Security and the Social Security Administration (SSA).

EPRI uses the system to check the work status of new hires by comparing information from the employee's I-9 form against SSA and Department of Homeland Security databases.
