Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a Corporate Tax Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role will report directly to the Income Tax Manager and will play a crucial part in supporting various income tax functions within the organization, with a primary focus on the preparation of corporate federal consolidated and state income tax returns.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and file the consolidated federal income tax return along with related partnership tax returns.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax provisions in compliance with ASC 740.
  • Calculate and submit federal and state quarterly estimated tax payments and extensions.
  • Conduct quarterly tax payment reconciliations.
  • Prepare various state income and franchise tax returns on separate, combined, and unitary bases.
  • Support the preparation of Canadian corporate income tax returns.
  • File federal excise tax returns quarterly and ensure timely remittance of excise tax payments.
  • Assist in federal, state, and local tax audits, including the preparation of responses to information document requests (IDRs) and other audit inquiries.
  • Engage in special tax-related projects as directed by management.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in corporate income tax.
  • Strong understanding of general tax principles and the ability to apply these principles in areas such as federal consolidated returns, partnerships, and U.S. international tax concepts.
  • Proficient in interpreting tax law to ensure compliance with current legislation.
  • Ability to identify process improvements to enhance operational efficiencies and reduce costs.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with various levels of personnel.
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen without dual citizenship.
  • Willingness to work onsite as required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • CPA or advanced degree in Taxation.
  • Experience with CorpTax, SAP, or OneStream.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is competitive and will be determined based on various factors, including experience and qualifications. The total compensation package may also include additional elements such as performance incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.
