This position will serve the Clark County Therapeutic Education Center (CTEC), a new program that is being created to serve aggressive adolescent aged youth with significant developmental delays. CTEC will provide instructional behavioral, and social/emotional support and activities to the youth served.

There are five openings. These positions will be 7.5 hours per day, 210 days per year.

General Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Special Education Teacher, the Behavioral Support Technician assists the teacher in classroom management and the Registered Behavior Technician in positive behavior management to engage students with developmental delays and intellectual disabilities with high intensity support needs and extremely significant behavioral challenges.

Salary:
The full salary range for this position is $22.54-$27.42 hourly*. Offers are made at the beginning of the range. *As of September 1, 2024, the salary range is $ $28.43. Offers are made at the beginning of the range.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. A high school diploma or GED.

  2. At least 18 years of age.
  3. One year of experience engaging/working with school-aged children.
