We are looking for a Supply Chain Analyst to join our Petrochemical (CP) team in Houston, TX.

We are seeking a transportation and distribution professional to join our North America Petrochemicals Supply Chain team. Reporting to the Transportation and Distribution Manager, you will be responsible for managing the overall efficiency and performance of maritime movements for our Petrochemicals businesses. Your scope of responsibilities will include the management of the barge fleet, power units, deep sea vessel, terminals, surveyors and all related agencies involved in the maritime process. Role is dynamic and responsibilities may fluctuate based on business need as well as cross-training among the rest of the team functions.

  • Interfacing between Product Manager, Planning, Service Providers, Site Logistics team, Export Manager and Procurement team to manage and monitor the performance of the fleet and overall operational cost related to the Maritime business.
  • Managing the Petrochemicals barge fleet and power units to meet all the customer demand in the Gulf Coast. You will be coordinating our lightering operations across all the sites and 3rd party terminals in our network.
  • Performing analysis and cost tracking to identify areas for service improvements, cost optimization/reduction, and process improvements. These efforts will be driven from an analytical approach and monitored by Transportation & Distribution Performance KPIs.
  • Leading the internal Maritime application system Dolphin to drive solution and efficiencies (ex. Lanes Optimization, Track & Trace, Temperature Monitoring, Delivery Prioritization, etc.)
  • Analyzing various types of data, such as vessel movements, shipping routes, port operations, cargo volumes, weather patterns, and regulatory compliance data. Using statistical techniques and software tools, the maritime analyst identifies trends, patterns, and anomalies to derive meaningful insights.
  • Managing the monthly invoices performing audit and approval process utilizing our ERP such us SAP and PBI tools. You will be validating costs, invoice errors and/or rejections in order to work with vendors to correct, validate, or automate their resolution.
  • Participating and leading projects, meetings, and implementations with internal business partners, service platforms, customers, and external service providers.
  • Establishing and improving work procedures and processes that support the company and departmental standards.

  • Have a bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Possess strong working knowledge within the Maritime industry and SAP R/3 and the sales order (OTC).
  • Have strong interpersonal, organizational, presentation, and communication skills.
