Job Title: Area Sales Manager

Position Overview

This position contributes to the overall success of the company by proactively developing leads, establishing, maintaining excellent customer relations and selling company products and services within a defined territory at a level which increases the profitability of that region.

Essential Job Functions

Sell company products including label, coding & marking equipment, labels, and ribbonsDevelop new and maintain existing account relations in an ethical and profitable mannerSupport national accounts as requiredFollow up on company-supplied leads in a timely mannerMaintain a prospect-customer data basePrepare proposals & quotes for prospects within the company's standard guidelinesDevelop reports in keeping with company reporting mechanismsAttend trainings and meetings as required by leadershipKeep current on trends from both market & technical standpoints Requirements College education or proven sales experience and documented successAbility to identify customer needs and match their solution with company product/servicesKnowledge of industry and applicationsComputer literacy, especially with MS OfficeAbility to be on the road visiting prospective clients, current customers, vendors, etc. approximately 35% of the time ( may vary slightly by region) Other Skills/Abilities which will ensure success Ability to conduct business in an ethical, successful mannerSelf-motivated, strong desire to achieve personal, professional growthStrong written/verbal communication and organizational skillsAble to operate various office equipmentMaintain work-life balance Physical requirements of position Must be able to travel to customer sitesMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basisMust be able to twist, bend, kneel on a regular basisMust be able to sit for prolonged periods of time to perform computer tasks Exposure to Hazardous Materials Negligible NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
