Position: Associate Academic Research Scientist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of research and experimental platforms for analyzing, design, and interpreting results. Investigates and recommends potential alternative approaches to enhance the quality of basic and translational research outcomes.
  • Demonstrates increased responsibility by managing teams and leading scientific projects. Applies advanced knowledge and skills in protocol development and provides training to team members.
  • Assists in writing IACUC, IRB, Biosafety, and other approval documents.
  • Oversees quality assurance of research conducted by team members.
  • May assist in grant and funding applications or lead their own research projects with approval. May also be principal investigators on funded proposals.
  • Performs other required responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • PhD with one year of professional level experience in a technical or research lab.
  • Or master's degree with three years of professional level experience in a technical or research lab.
  • Or bachelor's degree with five years of professional level experience in a technical or research lab.
  • Laboratory experience should align with the area of assignment.
  • Internship experience or pre-qualifying degree experience is not considered eligible work experience.
